Happy New Year, Peeps!

*yawn* So tired. I cant believe I'm gonna stay up till midnight tonight.

Am I gonna do a new years resolution?

*thinks*

...

Nope.

Some people do confessions on new years.

Confessions...?

*thinks*

...

Nope.

So that whole top part was practically useless.

I'm gonna ask my parents if I can get FaceBook... probably.

I'm beginning to notice that my blog posts are starting to look like my emails. Short and sweet, Book blogger would say.

*yawn*

For Christmas I got:
  • A hoodie  (>w< Yay!)
  • A Bamboo tablet
  • A big pink poodle pillow pet
  • Water color supplies
  • Redish orange nail polish
  • Candy
  • A cute calender
  • Chocolate making stuff. (^.^)
  • My Sims Wii (*fistpump* Awesome game)
  • Wii points (wish I had gotten an iTunes card instead, but don't tell anybody. *shifty eyes*)
  • Fable weaver (it's a really good book)
I have trouble sleeping with to much light, but my little sis is scared of the dark, so, as a gag gift, my mom got me one of those things that you put over your eyes when you sleep. I don't know what they're called....  _-_ whatever.

Help?

I'm trying to find a good profile pic that I'll stick with. I picked a few. Tell me which one you like best or, if you have another one you think I'll like, drop a link in a comment.

They're all pretty much the same idea. :3 All black cats.

(My OYAN Novel is moving slowly, btw. Or...just...not at all.)

Watercolored Rose

I did this in art class:

What do you think? It looks better in real life. Bad scanner.

Watercolor paint are on my Christmas wishlist. ;)

Friday, November 25, 2011

I've been doing a bit of art lately.

Well, here y'are!

First is me! My mom says it's really close, except that my head is more a an oval than a circle.

Then here's Marth! *Yay*

And next.... a cat girl climbing down giant floating pumpkins?

Okay, and then this is even weirder. Welcome to Pink Bunnie Land! Where one centimeter rabbits frolic through the long grass! _-_ Whatever...

A girl with headphones. (BTW, these are not in order drawn.)

Water colored landscape that I did in art class:

And last, the horse again. Better quality though.

There. I have a feeling I'm missing something though...

Oh! I read Howl's Moving Castle a few days ago. It was really good. ^_^ It reminded me a little of the Wizard of Oz. I have no idea why though cause they're entirely different...

And I read Fruits Basket too. Very good manga.

And, in my story my main charrie is gonna try and dye her hair black, but I'm not sure whether it should turn green or not. It might be a little cliche... thoughts?

Writing Update

My OYAN Novel is finally picking up a bit.  I finally outlined my whole story. I think that really helped, 'cause for a while there were a few blank spots in the story. But that's all cleared up now. I'll write more of Mint and Zoey once I finish the second chapter.

I've outlined Howl of the Silver Moon, so that's all ready for next year! (Be happy, peeps!)

Anyway, you can check what I have so far on my 'My OYAN Novel' page above. ^ Once I get farther I might take it down for copyright purposes. Who knows. It's not like I don't trust you guys. ^-^

Mint and Zoey - Part 2

Busy morning. My mom called just as I woke up about a flat tire, it snowed, and I had to go out to the barn in just a little while.

Here's Part 2!!!

Mint woke up to the sun streaming through the window. She slipped off the edge of the bed and tiptoed to the door. It creaked as she slowly opened it. She looked back and Zoey, hoping she hadn't woke him. He stirred, but didn't wake. Relieved, Mint hurried out and down the hall. She passed through the sitting room and moved on to the kitchen. Looking around, she spotted a jar on the top of the cupboards. As she turned into a mint colored cat, her hearing, sight and smell sharpened. She tasted the air. The smell of cookies was still fresh in the air. Grinning, she hopped from the ground to the counter. Jumping nimbly over the sink, she clambered up a stack of washed plates and onto the top of the fridge. "Sooo close!" Mint thought. She jumped onto the top of the cupboards and crawled towards the container. The smell of cookies was so strong it tickled her nose. She tried to open the lid with her paws, but she couldn't grab hold of it. She tried to bite it open with no avail. Just then she picked up the sound of a door creaking. "Not now! When I'm sooo close!" Frustrated, she grabbed hold of it and pried. The jar tipped sideways just as she got it open. It fell off the edge, cookies tumbling out with Mint falling right behind it. The jar landed with a crash and broke into a million tiny glass pieces. Mint landed on her feet with cookies all around her. Footsteps pounded and She quickly turned back into a girl. Crystal came to the doorway and her eyes opened wide and her mouth fell open. Zoey was right behind her and when he saw Mint sitting on the ground with the broken cookie jar and a cookie in her mouth, he closed his eyes and shook his head. "Oh...Mint..." His voice shook with anger and frustration. But Crystal began to laugh. "What happened, Mint?"
"I was hungry." Mint stuck out her bottom lip.
Crystal laughed so hard that she had to hold onto the door frame for support. Tears streamed down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry." Mint said to Crystal, staring at Zoey. "He is gonna be sooo mad. " She thought.
"Mint, I can't believe you..." Zoey began.
"Oh, it's fine. I'll clean it up." Crystal helped Mint up and began to pick up the broken glass. "Help yourself to one of the cookies if you like."
"I'm not hungry." Zoey mumbled, grabbing Mint, he dragged her out of the room, muttering a 'sorry' to Crystal before disappearing into the hall.
Once in their room, Zoey seated Mint on the edge of the bed and stared at her, forehead creased in frown.
Mint stared defiantly back at him, arms crossed and still holding her cookie.
Finally Zoey spoke. "What were you doing?"
"Getting cookies. I was hungry." Mint pouted.
"Where were they?" Zoey asked, leaning on a desk and crossing his arms.
"On top of the cupboard."
"And you just got a chair and pulled it off?"
Mint snorted. "No, I turned into a kitty."
Zoey rubbed his face, trying to control his anger. When he spoke, it was in a whisper. "Haw many times... have I told you to be careful about using your powers when humans are around?"
Mint thought about it. "Lots."
Zoey nodded.
"But I was careful!" Mint insisted. "Crystal never saw me."
"But she will wonder how you got all the way up there without a stool." Zoey put his face in his hands. "And someday someone will find out if you're not careful enough."
"Why do we have to we have to keep our powers a secret?" Mint asked.
Zoey sighed. "Because then we will end up like our parents. Dead." Fresh memories flashed before his eyes. It was his parents' deaths. He had tried to forget about them so many times, but that one night always came back to haunt him.
Mint's eyes grew wide. She had heard of the deaths of Zoey's parents, and witnessed the deaths of her own. They still frightened her, and sometimes she would wake up screaming for her mother.
Zoey was fighting back tears. They dribbled down his cheeks and fell off his chin onto the floor.
"Zoey, please don't cry." Mint felt tears wet her eyes and her bottom lip began to quiver.
Zoey came over to the bed and sat beside Mint. She slipped into his arms and they held onto each other, sharing each others pain.

Tell me what you think! (For heavens sake people, give me some feed back!)

Mint and Zoey

I came up with these two characters a few nights ago.  They're two orphaned were-creatures. I actually already have a whole plot planned out for them.
Ironically, Zoey is a guy. (The name Zoe is actually unisex. Just not used very often for a guy. It can also be short for Zoello, Zohar, etc.) I got the idea from a cat my friend used to have. They thought he was a girl so they named him Zoey. They found later that he was a guy. Weird, I know, but whatever. I'm weird.
Any ways, I might squeeze them into Howl of the Silver Moon some time next year, or maybe I'll put em in if I do a sequel, but for now, here's Mint and Zoey:

A brown wolf slunk through the shadows of the dark forest, a small child on his back.
"How much longer, Zoey?" The small child whimpered, clinging to the wolf's mattered fur.
"Not much, hold tight Mint." Zoey cooed calmly, trying to hide his inner feelings as not to scare the small one. Inside he was panicked. They both had not eaten all day. Last they had food was two days ago. A small squirrel that they shared between themselves. Not even enough to fill the stomach. He was weak with hunger, but he feared most for Mint. She was even weaker than he was. They was trying to find a town that should have been nearby. Maybe I'm just walking in circles, Zoey had thought more than once. But he pushed on, dragging one paw after the other.
"Mint, you're getting a little heavy." Zoey finally spoke the complaint that he had been wanting to say for hours.
"Hrm, sorry." The little girl muttered and transformed slowly and weakly into a small mint colored cat. She nuzzled further into the wolf's winter coat, closed her tired eyes, and fell asleep to the boy's weak and ragged breaths. Night was falling, and soon it would be to dark to continue. They might die of hunger and thirst.
With a heavy heart, Zoey trudged on. The sun had begun to set behind the hill when he collapsed, exhausted and defeated. Mint tumbled to the ground.
"Zoey!" She yelped in surprise and stumbled to her feet. Zoey didn't answer. He had given up. There was nothing for them here.
"Zoey!" Mint shouted louder, nudging him with her nose. Finally she turned into a human, rolled him over onto his back and shouted in his face.
"Zoey!" He looked at her desperate face. Tears ran down her cheeks and her eyes pleaded. They were filled with sadness, but also hope. She had not given up yet. There was still life in there. A small flower, waiting to grow.
Zoey slowly pushed to his paws. Even if he didn't live, she would, he would see to that. He nudged her and she obeyed, transforming back into a cat. Picking her up by the scruff, he began to run. He ran until the sun had disappeared behind the snow cover tops of the mountains and darkness settled over the forest. He ran until he spotted a light off in the distance. A soft glow in the dark night. Hope for one that had none.
Finally he stopped and transformed into a human. He felt like falling right there, but not here, not now when he was so close. Mint turned back into a child and he held her there, in his arms. Gathering courage, he stumbled up the steps of an old mansion. He lifted his hand and knocked, it's low, hollow sound echoing through the place. Then, silence. After a little while Zoey could hear soft foot steps. They came to the door and a latch slid. The door opened and a small face peeked out. It was pale and fragile, with wide, bright eyes, one red, one blue. Long black hair framed the girl's face.
"Hello?" She said in a sweet voice. Then noticing the small whimpering girl, she opened the door wide and hurried them in closing it after them.
"Are you both all right?" She asked, concerned.
Zoey's throat was dry. "Just hungry and thirsty." He croaked.
The girl nodded, led them into a kitchen. "Take a seat." She waved towards a table and chairs, then began to hurry about, preparing something for the two to eat.
"Come on." Zoey murmured in Mint's ear, placing her on one of the chairs, then hesitantly pulling up his own next to her. He looked around. The whole house was gloomy and dark, but candles hung from every ceiling and wall and cast eerie shadows. Mint was fiddling with her fingers, head rested on the table that was as high as her shoulders. The girl was bustling around. Her dark hair fell to below her waist. It was thin, silky, and so light it seemed to float. She turned to Zoey and Mint and place two steaming bowls of soup in front of them.
"There you are." She smiled and sat down with them, resting her chin on her hands. Mint smiled and began to slurp up the soup gratefully. Zoey hesitated, eying the girl. She seemed to want to watch him eat it. He took a spoonful and shoved it in his mouth. It was warm and tasty. It trickled down his throat and warmed his tired body. The girl seemed satisfied and opened her mouth to speak.
"What do you think?" It took a while for Zoey to realize what she meant. The soup.
Zoey opened his mouth, but Mint had already blurted, "It's really good!" So Zoey just nodded and continued his soup.
"How did you get out here? Where are your parents?" She asked.
"Oh, we've been traveling for a long time. Our parents were killed." Mint said. Zoey winced and gave her a warning glance. She just shrugged and mouthed, "She asked!"
"Oh, I'm sorry." This news seemed to impact the girl way more than anybody else. Her face darkened and her brow furrowed in sympathy. It was as if losing your parents actually had some remote meaning to her. Then she changed the subject."Where are you going?"
Zoey quickly answered before Mint could. "To the town that should be around here."
The girls eyes lit up in confusion. "Town? There hasn't been a town around here for years."
Zoey frowned. "Maybe my map was old." He muttered
"What are your names?" The girl asked again.
"I'm Mint and that's Zoey." Mint answered before Zoey could again, so he left the rest of the answering to her. At least they were on a safe topic now. "What's your name?"
The girl smiled. "Crystal."
Mint grinned. "That's a pretty name."
"Tha-"
"Crystal?" A raspy voice broke the quiet. A shiver ran down Zoey's spine and Mint's eyes grew wide. "Who are you talking to?"
"Just some people that came to the door, Madona."
"Crystal..." Madona began.
"Madona..." Crystal stood and turned to Mint and Zoey. "Come. I will show you the lady of the house." Zoey pushed his empty bowl aside, Mint slipped off the edge of her chair, and they followed Crystal into an adjoining room.
A grand fireplace was on one wall and a huge couch sat in front of it, facing the leaping flames. Large paintings covered the walls all the way up to the high ceiling. The whole room made you feel small and helpless. Zoey felt Mint's hand slip into his and he squeezed it. Crystal walked around the chair and turned to someone that sat in it, talking to her in hushed tones for a little while. Zoey and Mint followed slowly and timidly. In the couch sat a small figure. It was an old woman, with frizzy gray hair and wrinkled skin. Her eyes were thin slits and small glasses balanced on end of her nose. Mint and Zoey stood beside Crystal and stared at the old woman. The huge couch made her look like a little midget and she sunk deep into the plush seat. She studied them, staring arrows through them. Finally she smiled spoke, her voice old and gravely, but gentle and kind.
"Welcome children." She greeted them warmly. "My name is Madona. I'm sure Crystal gave you her wonderful soup. It's my personal favorite. So you are Mint and Zoey?"
The two nodded.
The old woman smiled again. "You two are welcome to spend the night here. Crystal, show them to some rooms. They must be tired."
Crystal bowed quickly and walked down a hall, motioning for Zoey and Mint to follow. She lead them down the dark hallway to a room. It was large, spacious, and homey. With a large queen sized bed. "Mint, your bedroom is just next door," Crystal open another door to a similar room, "And mine is next to yours." she pointed to another.
"But I want to sleep with Zoey." Mint grabbed a fist full of Zoey's dirty T-shirt and nuzzled closer to him. Crystal closed the door to Mint's room. "Alright. Sweet dreams." She disappeared down the hall again to help Madona.
Zoey closed the door as Mint pounced onto the fluffy bed. She dug under the covers and Zoey gently jumped onto her, tickling her through the covers and growling playfully. Mint dissolved into fit of giggly shrieks. Finally Zoey slipped under the covers next to Mint and they snuggled up to each other. For a while all you could hear was the chirping of crickets and Crystal and Madona in the other room.
"Good night Fuzzy Tail." Mint whispered.
"Good night, Minty Ears." Zoey whispered back.

It's not finished yet, by the way. I hope you want to read more, cause whether you like it or not, it's coming at you! No, not really. If you don't really like it I'll stop.

I think I like this sort of writing better than the stuff I'm doing now for my OYAN story. ...Yeah, I do. Maybe it's cause there's more action and less talking...

I was reading this to my little sister and she LOVED it so now I'm sharing it with you guys. What do you think?

I was thinking Zoey's hair should be a more unnatural color. Like green or blue. Maybe orange... And maybe Crystals could be purple...

OYAN Story - Chapter 1 - Edited

(Note: This is still a very rough draft. :)
Chapter 1

I sat on a window seat, staring out the window of the castle at the mountains beyond. Things were just about perfect, I thought. My parents sat at the window neighbouring mine. My father was sprawled out in a chair with his crown lopsided and on the verge of falling off. My mother sat all prim and proper across from him, her dainty crown nesting in her long red hair that was draped over the arm of the chair. It brushed the ground by her feet.
My mother was laughing at something my father must have said. I rolled my eyes and turned back to the window. The warm summer wind was blowing and it sent my short hair flying. It was bright red. Like my mothers, my father always told me. Which was obvious considering his was brown.
The door creaked and a chill swept in, announcing Jefferson’s arrival.
My father stood, righted his crown, and warmly greeted his most trusted servant. “Jefferson! Come in! We were just going to call for some tea.”
My mother stood and smiled politely and I followed her example, pulling my jacket tightly around my shoulders.  Where ever Jefferson swept his regal self, a chill followed like a cloud of dust. The first time I set eyes on him I had labeled him as the creepiest person I’d ever met. I’d avoided him since.
“Tea will have to wait.” Jefferson signalled to someone behind him and thirty guards surrounded us. “Let’s make this quick.” He hissed and they raised swords to our faces.
I wanted to run into my parents’ arms like a little child, but noting the sharp points, I wisely stayed put. The guards grabbed my parents by the arms. “What do you think you’re doing?” Father roared and tried to tear from their grasp. I had always seen him as a mighty lion, but now he resembled one even more. His powerful arms thrashed and his eyes filled with burning anger. But as they raised a knife to my mother’s throat, he stilled.
“Good.” Jefferson chuckled, and then his expression hardened. “Finish him off.”
The world seemed to be at a standstill as a guard plunged a knife into my father’s chest. I watched as he  fell and I heard my mother’s scream. Or maybe it was my own? I found myself staring in horror at my father, lying on the ground with blood gathering in a puddle around him. “Run, Allison.” He wheezed, each breath a labour. Then he fell limp. Jefferson smiled. I could just hear his voice saying, “One down, two to go.” As the next guard raised a knife above my mother’s breast, she screamed, “Out the window!” My whole body was numb and my mind raced so fast I could barely think. Just those three words took forever to register in my mind. The window? She wanted me to jump? My mother fell, a look of fear pasted on her beautiful face. I turned numbly and rushed to the window. I looked down, searching for an escape. There was a ledge that ran just under the window. It was about one foot wide. I should be able to walk across it and find some way to get to safety. Without another thought I stepped out onto the ledge. One foot had never seemed so small as I began to walk along the outside of the castle wall. And fifteen feet had never looked so high either. I heard a shout. It hadn’t taken them long to realized that I was missing. I didn’t look back. My eyes were focused on the roof of the stables. My mind whirled as I stewed up a plan. I would drop onto the roof, then use the pile of logs stacked up the side to climb down and to safety. From there? I wasn’t sure, so I just pushed the thought away for later.
Another shout. I was so glad that the guards hadn’t been prepared for this. They didn’t have any arrows or spears to throw at me, and no man in armor would dare follow me. I was over the stable roof. Why did everything have to seem scarier than it was when you really had to jump five feet onto a slanted roof. Taking a deep breath, I reminded myself that there was no turning back now. I jumped...
and landed on the hard roof. My legs buckled from underneath me and I began to roll. Make it stop, make it stop, I pleaded. I rolled for much longer than I thought the roof was. Suddenly I lurched to a halt, saved by the gutter. Just as I opened my eyes the gutter began to give way. I didn’t know if I should move or stay put. Before I could make up my mind it fell from beneath me and I was falling. I landed on my back and the air was forced out of my lungs. Breath, breath, I told myself. Dark blotches clouded my vision. Finally I took a gasp of warm air. Run, Allison! My father seemed to shout to me again. I stumbled to my feet. Where should I go? Ten guards were not far off, probably searching for me. As one shouted and pointed in my direction, he confirmed my theory. My legs began to move underneath me. I could hear the guards feet pounding on the hard packed dirt . They were chasing me. I knew it. I would never be able to out run them. I hurried to my horse’s stall and swung open the door. Pride shied, but then, seeing it was just me, he trotted out eagerly. One guard was just a few feet away. I ran beside my Arabian and swung onto his back, letting out a yelp as the guards arms just missed me. I spurred Pride into a gallop and took off, headed for the town. I would have to cut through town to escape. I was nearing the town when five other guards on horses came up behind me. I leaned into my horse, willing him to go faster. If I wasn't being chased by people that wanted to kill me, I might've actually enjoyed the ride. We raced through the town, passing bakeries, shops, and houses. People hurried out of our way as we rode, lightning speed, down the main street. But I didn't dare slow down. The main gate was only thirty metres away. But they were beginning to close the gate! I dug my heals into my horse's sides. Twenty metres! Three! I rode out onto a dirt road. I made a quick turn around a cart and rode on, the guards still following. We rode for what seemed like ages. Each moment I was afraid that they would catch up to me. Suddenly my horse shied and I barely could keep from falling off. Pride took off in panic, with me clinging on for dear life, into the deep bush. Branches slapped me across the face and poked at me. My grip slipped suddenly and I tumbled to the ground. Pride kept running. I rose clumsily to my feet. I could hear the sound of hooves on packed dirt, and the shouts of the men as they tried to figure out what to do next. No horse but a scared one could fit through the closely tangled trees. Then I heard them breaking through the bushes. I began to run, jumping over rocks and pushing through prickles. I didn't stop, I didn't know where I was going, I just ran. I ran for my life. I could hear them coming closer. Hoping that they wouldn't find me, I dove into a thick bush. They caught up only a few seconds later. Pounding feet crashed through the rotting leaves and twigs near my hiding place. I pushed farther into the bush as one bumped into my leg. I sucked in a breath as I heard him fall and swear. I was a goner. "What happened?" I heard one laugh. "A rock or something." The one muttered. Their footsteps faded and I hesitantly crawled out of my hiding place. I was safe. For now.

Without another thought I stepped out onto it. One foot had never seemed so small as I began to walk along the outside of the castle wall. And fifteen feet had never looked so high either. I heard a shout. It hadn’t taken them long to realized that I was missing. I didn’t look back. My eyes were focused on the roof of the gardeners shed. My mind whirled as I stewed up a plan. I would drop onto the roof, then use the pile of logs stacked up the side to climb down and to safety. From there? I wasn’t sure so I just pushed the thought away for later.
Another shout. I was so glad that the guards hadn’t been prepared for this. They didn’t have any arrows or spears to throw at me, and no man in armour would dare follow me. I was over the shed roof.
There was only one place to go. The forest was the only place of shelter. My legs began to move underneath me. I could hear the guards feet pounding on the damp, mossy ground. They were chasing me. I knew it. Ten metres, eight metres, five, three! I dove into the bush and kept running. They would catch up to me soon. I couldn’t run as fast as them. I jumped over rocks and pushed through prickles. I heard a scream of terror escape the lips of one of the guards. Then another. The pounding of heavy feet diminished and I was left all alone. What had made the guards run? Had something attacked them? Were any of them killed? I shuddered. What could be lurking in these woods? Wolves? Snakes? Or—I didn’t finish bother to finish my sentence. I began to fear the worst and flinched at every sound; the snap of a twig under my boot, my jacket brushing against a fern. Suddenly a scream disrupted the silence of the forest and a band of goblin rushed out of their hiding places. I screamed and jumped back, trying to shield myself from their clubs. One held a knife and I feared he might use it. Pain racked through my body with every blow. Even though they were only two feet tall, their green-grey arms held a lot of power. I screamed again as the goblin tried to plunge his knife into my stomach. For a second I thought he might have missed, but then my brain began to register the pain and blood poured out of my wound. A club hit me in the back of the head and I fell unconscious.

Writing

I'm on the thiry-somethingth lesson of OYAN, and I've started writing the first chapter. Once I'm finished it, I will post it here for your critiquing. 'Cause all you writers out there are way better than me and I could use a little help. But for now, here's my synopsis:

Allison is a princess living with her parents, but when he parents are killed by a power hungry man named Sir Jefferson, she flees for her life. Deep in the forest she meets a boy named Shawn, who claims to be a thief. She pretends to be a girl that got separated from her parents, and begins to travel with Shawn. As days pass, she begins to think that maybe, just maybe, she might be able to desert her old life. But Sir Jefferson is on her trail, and he will to anything to capture and kill her. How much longer can she keep her identity? Will she have to face her enemy, as well as her greatest fears?

There. I made it up on the spot. How'd I do? Would you read it?

I don't know what to title my story. Any ideas?

One more video today:

And, no, his hair color is not natural. He dyed it.

Pig and Cookies

I love this video.

More pictures. Again.

Me and BookBlogger had a sleep over and we had a 'photo shoot', as she would like to call it. ;D I'm just teasing.

I love dew.

His name is Pride.
(the pictures of me have been removed)

Bookblogger

We took exactly 13 photos. At least, that's how many we ended up with.

Photo contest entry and some other stuff!

Here's my entry for Emily's photo contest at Nerve of Verve :

A sunset is nature, right?

And I have some more just for your enjoyment:

Whadayathink?! :D

I started art class on Thursday last week. I don't know if I told you though... Here's what I did:

I didn't have enough time to properly finish the legs. It's a heron.

And then there's this one:

The background is airbrushed, and then I painted the silhouette.

Update?

Picture:

I love this one. Would you believe I took it?

Any way,

I've been working on my one year adventure novel, and just lately I have made huge changes to the plot. Here's what I posted on the OYAN forum:

'Okay, so here's the idea.

I have decided to change some major parts of the plot.

First of all, she is going to know who she is, where she came from, etc., because amnesia is just was to cliche.

Second, here's the new plot:

She's the princess of what ever land they live in, and the villain was their most trusted adviser, and he killed her parents, the king and queen. In fear of being killed herself, she flees, with nothing but the clothes on her back, a small amount of food, and her mothers locket, given to her just the day before. Little does she know that the locket holds the power to change her into a fire fox, ur sumthin'. She's attacked by orcs and goblins in the woods, and Sirus, a theif
^_^ , jumps in and helps her. She is injured, and he takes her to the tiny village of (name yet to be decided), where she heals. She grows to love it there and stays, until goblins and evil monsters begin to attack the village (they're sent by the villain). All this time Madelyn has been hiding the secret that she is the princess that fled when her people needed her most. Sirus finds out and...

And, I wont go any further, cause I don't want to tell you everything.

There. I'm proud of my changes. Give me your honest answer. Waddayathink?'

So that's what I said, and just to point out, the main characters name is Allison, and Sirus is now Shawn.

Shawn: So you finally made up your mind.
Sprinkles: To bad a change of name doesn't mean a change of character. *glares* Seriously, your not this rude in the story.
Shawn: Excuse me for living, knowing your going to kill me.
Sprinkles: Nope. You'll live. And you'll be in one piece too. I hate it when characters lose limbs. Dying is fine by me though.
Shawn: Ah, you're so comforting.
Allison: *eyeroll* Isn't she?
Sprinkles: Well, little miss bold has finally arrived.
Allison: You changed my characteristics.
Sprinkles: Right. Maybe I should change you back.
Allison: No, I like me this way. It's so much more entertaining.
Sprinkles: Of course. -_-"

Today has been completely perfect!

So far. I've only been awake for about 45 minutes. Last night I was up till Ten watching Soul Surfer with my youth group. Awesome movie. I fell asleep right away (Big improvement for me, cause I haven't been sleeping to well for the past few days) and slept till 9o'clock this morning. The sun is shining, the house is warm instead of freezing, I had Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast, and nothing bad has happened so far! I nearly dropped the box of Cheerios though. And the computer doesn't seem to notice that it's one of those days that is randomly perfect. Same old slow computer. :P

Now I'm scared that something horrible is going to ruin the day. Maybe I'll break my arm.

Madelyn: Oh, I hope not!
Sirus: She's not going to, silly.
Sprinkles: *Crosses arms* And how do you know that?
Sirus: *gives Sprinkles a look*
Sprinkles: -_-" ...Oh! And I didn't even have to brush my hair today! *cheers*
Sirus: *facepalm*
Madelyn: .......what?

History has never been so ...epic

 Epic. Ha. lol. :P

We did history this morning and I though this was so awesome I just had to share it with you awesome gals and ...maybe guys.

The Sumerians lived in the land of Sumer, which is in the Fertile Crescent, which is in a place known today as Iraq.

They came to the Fertile Crescent around 2300 BC.
They had poetry, libraries, irrigation systems, a writing called cuneiform (which had 600 symbols. Crazy or what?), made statues out of terracotta, and may have invented the wheel. (So they obviously weren't stupid cave men)
There was a man named Terah living in Ur (try and find it on the map). He was a merchant and became very wealthy. But Babylon might have been planning to attack Ur, and Terah didn't want to lose everything in the war. So he took his wife and his son Abram and his wife Sarai and traveled up the Euphrates river and settled in Haran (which is not on the map, but is across from Carchemish somewhere). Terah soon died and Abram took over. At the time he believed in the Gods of Haran, but the one true God spoke to him and told him to go to Canaan, and promised to make him into a great nation.
Abram obeyed God and moved to Canaan. Abrams name was soon changed to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah. Abraham was 100 when Sarah had a son named Isaac. Sarah was 90.
Isaac married a woman named Rebecca and they had two children named Jacob and Esau. Jacob stole Esau's birthright and fled to his uncle Laban. He then married both of Laban's daughters. Leah had 10 sons and Rachel had 2. Rachel's sons were named Joseph and Benjamin. Jacob favored them more than the rest of his sons, and gave Joseph a colorful coat. Joseph's brothers became angry and sold him into slavery. Joseph landed in Egypt where he found favor in the eyes of the pharaoh, who made him second in command. When Joseph's brothers came to escape a famine and he finally revealed who he was, he told them to come live in Egypt. They did, and their descendants became the tribes of Israel (because Josephs name was soon changed to Israel). Years after Joseph had died, the 12 tribes had become so large that the pharaoh of Egypt became jealous of them.
Moses soon lead these 12 tribes out of Egypt.

Do you get the connections? Here's a chart I did:

Terah - Ur to Haran
Abram/Abraham + Sarai/Sarah - Haran to Canaan
Isaac + Rebecca
      Jacob + Esau
Jacob + Leah + Rachel
          10 sons   2 sons = 12 sons = Israel/Jews
                           ^ Joseph and Benjamin
Joseph
   was sold into slavery
became "second in command" of Egypt
   brought his family to Egypt
^ which became the 12 tribes of Israel

Moses
   Delivered them from Egypt

Easier? Pretty cool huh?

My younger brother came in here a little while ago and told my older brother that when he was younger and was doing history, he drew this guy with a beard and a t-shirt that said: "kiss me, I ate a potato." :P Go figure.
