12 Books I am Planning to Read in 2015

I found a reading challenge that looks like fun and I love these sorts of things so I am going to try it. The challenge is below and this is my list:

A book you've meaning to read: 'The Book Thief' by Markus Zusak

✔︎ A book published this year: 'All Fall Down' by Ally Carter

A book in a genre you don't typically read: 'Surprised by Joy' by C.S. Lewis
I don't usually read non-fiction, but this one is at the top of my reading list.

A book from your childhood: Ooh... hard choice. Probably 'The Horse and His Boy' by C.S. Lewis.
This was one of my favorites of the Narnia series and I've been dying to re-read it.

A book your mom loves: 'The Screwtape Letters' by C.S. Lewis

✔︎ A book that was originally written in a different language: 'The Elegance of the Hedgehog' by Muriel Barbery
This was originally published in French.

✔︎ A book ‘everyone’ has read but you: 'The Maze Runner' by James Dashner

A book you chose because of the cover: 'The End of Your Life Book Club' by Will Schwalbe.
Not so much the cover, but the title intrigued me. But then the title makes up most of the cover, so...

✔︎ A book by a favourite author: 'Fire and Hemlock' by Diana Wynne Jones

✔︎ A book recommended by someone with great taste: 'The Giver' by Lois Lowry.
Recommended to my several times by my best friend.

✔︎ A book you should have read in high school: Still technically in high school, but I'd have to say 'Emma' by Jane Austen.

✔︎ A book that’s currently on the bestseller list: 'Allegiant' by Veronica Roth

The Islands of Chaldea

I just found out that "The brand new and final novel from the magical and whimsical pen of ‘the Godmother of Fantasy’, Diana Wynne Jones" is coming out in 2014!

And I'm super stoked!

'The Islands of Chaldea' is co-authored and completed by her sister, Ursula Jones. You can read more about it here: Harper Collins: The Islands of Chaldea

I am so totally super pumped! Diana Wynne Jones is my favorite author of all time, and my goal is to read every single one of her novels. I'm so excited!

I never thought I'd see the day...

I've watched The Avengers a couple times. It's great, I love the action, yadda yadda yadda.
But I didn't get why so many girl were fangirling over Loki. "HE'S EVIL." I said.
Just a couple days ago I watched Thor. Twice.
I'm not going to beat around the bush.
Loki's awesome.
I could give you a long list of well-thought-out and scientific reasons why he's so amazing, but I wont waste my breath.

Instead, here's some super-fun GIF's:

Oh yeah. What can I say?

I must make one thing clear though.
For the record, I come at this somewhat from a writer's perspective.
Like:
"Oh my poptarts, Loki is so well written and I see the reasons why he is such a loved character. (i.e. somewhat undeserved misfortune; tragic backtory; etc.)"
Yup.
Just wanna put that out there.

Uh...Hi?

My mom helped me with those questions for OYAN. They don't mean this character specifically, just any character that I might use.I like what I have so far, but I can't wait to get started on the actual story.

Last night we watched True Grit. It was good. I especially liked Maddy's smart remarks. The ony thing I didn't like was the ending. It wasn't exactly sad, I think I found it a bit more to the side of disappointing. Other than that, it was a great movie and I'd like to watch it again. Maybe.

True Grit Trailer

Last time just my dad and my older brother watched it and we watched Sound of Music. I'd only watched part of it years ago. It was really good. But the love scene was the most sickening one I've ever watched! (Kay, maybe not.) It was gross. Next time I watch it I think I'll fast forward it. Wait, no, I will.  I like how in the end the nuns take wires and stuff from the polices cars. That was so funny.

I have no idea what we were talking about.

I like this picture. Scezzle's pose, at least. It's cute. And feminine, as my brother put it. :P Whatever.
