Halloween...

 is just around the corner!

So I'm going to post some fall-y pictures:

I love this one! <3

This is what happens when your brother twirls a flaming stick and your camera delays.

Our fie. In the BBQ.

This is the best pumpkin I ever carved.

I think I'm a little to old to be anything. (I know what you're thinking: "Growing up is opptional! You're never to old!") But I thin I still want to wear something remotely festive. For instance, a cloak:

like the one Lindsey Stirling is wearing here. ^
Oh, and btw, I'm going to a Lindsey Stirling concert with my dear friend Book Blogger. <3
I can't wait. *flail*
If you don't know who Lindsey Stirling is, search her up! She's a really talented musician.

As for my OYAN, It's still moving along slowly, but I believe only a few weeks of hard work will finish it right up.

School is... school. Nuff said.

Book recommendation(s):

Maximum Ride Series by James Patterson

Howl's Moving Castle, House of many ways, and Dogsbody by Diana Wynne Jones

The Gallagher Girl Series by Ally Carter

The River of Time Series by Lisa T. Bergren

Oh! Along with Book Blogger and some OYANerds (OYAN participants), I went to writing thing hosted by christian writer Bryan Davis. I'm not a big fan of his books, but they're not horrible. (Atleastnotallofthem)
He gave a really good presentation on writing novels.
He used a really awesome metaphor: "You're reader is like a duck.... yes, I said a duck."
He got us to brainstorm a story about a librarian name Ed who worked in a haunted library. (So much fun. <3)
And all around I learned alot and had a great time. (There was even refreshments :)

I've read two and two half of his books.
His violin series was the first I read. I read 1 and 1/2 of it. Let's just say I have no idea how I made it through the first one. It's very dull.
Next I read Starlighter, which, as the book went on, became somewhat interesting and enjoyable. Not the best book I'd ever read, but it was good.
Right now I'm in the middle of reading Raising Dragons, part of Dragons in Our Midst series. (And from what I've gathered, alot of people love the series.)  As it's going on, it's getting a little better, but it's not all unique, new, or exciting. Same old, same old, I think, but it's not half bad.

Well, there's my past few weeks in an acorn.
